The manager of the Skate-In North, Mike, waits outside with a Black family of three. Jada nervously waits, her parents are patient, but Mike is impatient.

A white Ford 150 pulls into the parking lot. Mike's phone rings. He says that he's handling things by himself, Barry won't be there.

Kimmy steps out of the Ford. Her parents, Reba and Garth don't get out and are rude towards Jada's parents, Sylvester and Donna.

Jada and Kimmy refuse to acknowledge each other, something has happened between them. Mike hurries the girls inside. On the phone, he says that Barry quit.

Kimmy snarkily refers to Jada as Ms. President and they go inside. Mike locks them in.

In the lobby, Baratunde and Rodney are already waiting. Baratunde carries a backpack with vinyl records and Rodney carries roller blades. Mike charges Baratunde $20 to get in. Baratunde asks if Mike is the boss and he says he's the owner. Jada points out he's the co-owner. Mike says it's the same thing, but she says her father says otherwise. Mike charges Rodney $20 and questions who Jada's dad is? She notes he's a high-priced lawyer. Jada pays for both her and Kimmy to get in. Mike takes away everyone's phones. Baratunde and Jada bump into each other and flirt awkwardly. All four put on nametags.

Inside the building, Mike locks the door and heads towards the DJ booth. The place is packed, but skating hasn't started yet. Mike reads the skating rink rules. He says there will be games starting in an hour and starts playing music.

Jada skates around the rink where various clusters of students have formed: the Nerds, the Goths, the Mean Girls, the Jocks, the Stoners and the Hipsters.

As DJ, Mike continues to play out-of-date songs that don't inspire much skating.

At the Nerd spot, Kimmy and Stacey are joined by Tracy. Stacey asks Kimmy what's up with Jada, but Kimmy doesn't want to talk about it. Tracy asks them to help her hand out the nametags. She can't find them and skates off to find them.

At the Goth Spot, Alice sits with Nicolas, Lolly and Razer. Nicolas says the music depresses him. Tracy stops by and makes fun of them. Nicolas says he's a vampire, not a goth. Then he makes fun of Lolly for not knowing the band on her shirt. She's really a big fan, she's just making fun of Nicolas. Lolly and Alice are into each other. Nicolas skates away.

At the Mean Girls Spot, Taylor, London, Lindsey and Rachel ignore Nicolas as he skates by. Taylor asks why they're here. It's because London loves skating. Rachel has never skated before.

Tiffany and Indy get up to skate. They go fast and do advanced tricks.

On their way towards the stage, Ted bumps a blonde kid and knocks him down. He tries to get up and Biff knocks him to the floor. They claim the stage as their spot. Biff spouts off about conspiracy theories. They talk vaguely about some plan. Ted says he isn't hurting any little kids. Biff says they only have to hurt one big kid each and he'll take care of the rest.

At the Nerd Spot, Jada finally sits, but as far away from Kimmy as she can. Kimmy says she hates the Brothers Dim. Stacey writes the insult down. Jada says the three boys are the only seniors that didn't get invited to the senior party. Tracey has the nametags now and asks the others to help and they agree.

Jasper and Billy skate around the rink, carrying sharpies and nametags. Further ahead of them Stacey and Jada carry the same. Further behind Kimmy and Tracy carry them as well. Kevin gets upset and he accidentally knocks the blonde kid down.

Mel scoots closer and says he heard a rumor about Tiffany. Indy cuts him off and reveals she has alopecia. Mel tries to make fun of her, but she ignores him and he gets frustrated. Indy fakes a punch at Mel and he flinches and falls on his ass. Indy and Tiffany skate away and they are the best skaters on the floor.
