  • Senior Writer, AFL-CIO, Oct. 2012-present, Washington, D.C.: As senior writer, I am responsible for the federation's blog as well as writing e-mails and other materials. In this role, I serve as one of the most public-facing voices of the organization and labor movement. In addition to writing most articles on the blog, I also edit and publish the articles of others. I also edit and produce the AFL-CIO podcast, "State of the Unions."

  • Screenwriter, Oct. 2019-present, Washington, D.C.: As a self-taught screenwriter, I have completed 21 feature screenplays, 13 teleplays and nine short scripts. Of these, two of the features and the short have been sold and are in production for KaoticKlone productions.

  • Founder and Creative Director, Revolutionary Exchange Productions, Aug. 2015-Present, Washington, D.C.: RevEx is a progressive event planning and creative development organization. In addition to writing, editing and producing my own work, I have mentored, co-written, edited and inspired the works of others. To date, we have produced dozens of events, more than 100 podcast episodes, two books, several albums of original music, a card game and numerous other projects.

  • Communications Director, Darcy Burner for Congress, June 2012-Oct. 2012, Seattle, Washington: Served as the communications director during the primary, helping the campaign transition from a period of stagnation to become one of the more dynamic candidates during that year's primaries. In addition to raising nearly half a million dollars, we also published "Darcy Magazine," and Oprah magazine style explainer of the candidate and her background.

  • Labor Reporter, Crooks and Liars, Aug. 2011-Jun. 2012, Tallahassee, Florida: Researched, wrote and reported on political and labor events and people for the blog Crooks and Liars.
