Logline: To save his self-sacrificing husband from a noble death at the hands of a dystopian anti-super hero America, a hedonistic civil rights activist must learn to become the leader and family man he pretends to be.

“Anti Hero” is an evolution of the superhero movie, as it wrestles with thought-provoking and unanswered questions that a world with superheroes inspires. “Anti Hero” takes place 13 years in our future. Rustin is an activist whose husband, Kyle, is a superhero who goes into hiding after he kills a villain. Society reacts with genocide against “supers” using Orwellian technology and ruthless violence. When Kyle reveals his presence to the world in order to save an innocent family, he surrenders himself to authorities. The government will execute Kyle if Rustin can’t find a way to save him or convince Kyle to save himself. The selfish Rustin has been cheating on his husband, and he must find a way to become the person who can save Kyle from death, even though Kyle doesn’t want to be saved. Kyle’s inherent guilt and sense of honor have resolved him to submit to justice, even if that justice is carried out by a corrupt system. Kyle must overcome his own aimlessness and rejection of family in order to save his husband in a hostile country divided among those that hate his husband and those that want a revolution.

“Anti Hero” is a movie that will appeal to audiences looking for the next evolution of the superhero film, the type of movie that can expand the genre the way Jordan Peele’s “Get Out” and “Us” have redefined what audiences can expect from horror films.
